Mentor Project

The CEES Mentor Project connects new STEM students with 3rd and 4th year Peer Mentors. Mentees get support navigating academic and social challenges and Mentors gain valuable mentorship experience while making a positive impact. By participating, you'll also gain access to internship opportunities, environmental justice programming, and career services.

As a Mentee in our program:

You’ll be matched with a 3rd or 4th-year peer mentor who can provide you with personalized guidance throughout the academic year. This includes helping you navigate challenges, set academic and professional goals, and connect you with internship opportunities, career services, and more.

As a Mentor in our program:

You’ll have the chance to support a 1st/2nd-year or recent transfer student mentee by offering guidance and sharing your experiences. Being a mentor is a rewarding way to develop leadership skills, gain mentoring experience, and make a lasting impact on your mentee’s success.

Mentorship From a STEM Graduate Student

By participating in the CEES Mentor Project, you'll also gain access to mentorship from a STEM graduate student. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into graduate school, career pathways, or about general concerns you may have! Stop by office hours with Andrew Palacios!
